1 Working in Japan’s Transportation and Logistics Industry
Japan’s transportation and logistics industry is facing a serious labor shortage. At the same time, logistics demand continues to grow due to e-commerce expansion and changes in distribution systems.
As a result, hiring foreign workers has become an important issue for the industry.
In response to this situation, the transportation industry has been added to the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. This change has made it possible for foreign nationals to work as truck drivers and in delivery-related jobs in Japan, opening new employment opportunities for those who wish to work in this field.
With the introduction of this system, skill examinations and training programs have been developed, and many logistics and transportation companies are now actively considering hiring foreign workers.
